Guided Birding Tours in Southern Sweden

Just across the Øresund, southern Sweden offers a wealth of exciting birding locations – and with Why Not Birds?, you can explore them on a guided tour from Copenhagen.

Based in Denmark’s capital, we offer both half-day and full-day private birding tours to top sites in southern Sweden – all within 1–2 hours’ travel. These trips offer varied landscapes and rich birdlife, perfect for birders of all levels.

A half-day tour is ideal if you’re short on time but still want a rewarding experience – for example, in the morning or afternoon.

However, we recommend booking a full-day tour if you want to make the most of birding in Sweden. It allows time to explore larger areas, visit several birding sites and habitats, and increases your chances of more species – and increase the chances of good and varied birding experiences.

Tours can be tailored to your interests – whether general birdwatching or focused on particular bird groups or seasons. Examples include:

  • Migration at Falsterbo in late summer and autumn
  • Spring birds in Skåne – warblers, waders, ducks
  • Winter birding in Skåne – flocks of swans, thrushes, ducks, and raptors

Pricing depends on the length of the tour, your preferences, and any extras – agreed upon at the time of booking.
